Mission Statement
The Krane Academy will prepare aspiring college and graduate
students for careers in the film industry. Jonathan D. Krane, Master Producer
of 43 films, former Studio Chairman and college educator, has developed a
program centered around his revolutionary new Treatise on the Film Industry.
Students attending the Krane Academy will receive the scholastic knowledge and
hands on experience they need in every aspect of moviemaking, from the
conception of “right ideas”, to actually writing pilot and feature length film
screenplays, packaging, financing, physically producing, and subsequently
distributing the movies they have made. Mr. Krane and guest industry
professionals will provide training in both a campus and extended internet
learning environment.
The Krane Academy will also provide 2-3 day seminars and 1-2 week “film camp”
workshops for high school and college students, their parents, working
professionals, and other interested parties which will act as an “Essential
Guide to Understanding and Breaking Into the Movie Industry”. These short
courses will prepare participants to make informed decisions about their next
steps, and to gain practical experience that may help them in their careers.
